Business Analyst - Product Development - Belfast
Our Client, a leading software consultancy have a number of in-house developed Java applications which are central to its business. Due to high volumes, we are currently recruiting for a dedicated Business Analyst to join the product development team.
Reporting to the Projects Director your role will be to meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define Business analysis, Solution design, and Project delivery management. To liaise with colleagues internally and Clients to establish systems requirements for product development and to work with the product managers to provide quotes for product development requests, write functional specifications/statement of requirement and brief developers.
Duties include:
*Lead requirements gathering for all product development requests
*Analyse collected requirements to ensure they will be resold to future clients and are not just 'wish lists'
*Cost and schedule development of such requirements in the product development roadmap in partnership with the product manager
*Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
*Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
*Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems
*Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
To Apply you will need:
*Working knowledge or understanding of Java technology and frameworks
*Working knowledge of network infrastructure, PC and server operating systems, and current hardware and software standards
*Experience of creating project plans, development budgets and project tracking documentation
*Experience of working with remote teams
*Ability to take responsibility for project delivery
*Excellent attention to detail
