Ex-pat jobs drive returns this Christmas
A hugely successful campaign launched last Christmas to draw back professionals working outside Northern Ireland is to be repeated this year.

The brainchild of leading search and selection consultancy Clarendon Executive, the campaign targets executives returning home for Christmas through Belfast International and George Best City airports, encouraging them to consider a career and life back in thriving Northern Ireland.
Barry Smyth, partner at Clarendon Executive, says that last years campaign was met with enthusiasm and interest, resulting in people from all over Great Britain and further a field logging onto Clarendons website and confidentially making them aware of the type of opportunity they would consider returning home for.
We were very impressed and encouraged with the strong response to last years campaign which reflected a growing confidence and changing attitudes towards Northern Ireland, says Barry.
Our team made contact with over 2,000 people and we are optimistic that we can reach even more people this year.
Increasingly people are recognising the benefits of the new Northern Ireland and that the environment is right to make the move back. With the assembly up and running and developments such as the Titanic Quarter and Victoria Square signalling a newly found confidence in our economy, there really has never been a better time to return.
This unprecedented political, economic and social progress must result in investment from world-class companies, meaning more quality jobs for people with the right experience and expertise.
Leslie Morrison, Chief Executive of Invest Northern Ireland, says: Recent investments here by both internationally owned and indigenous companies, particularly in the Financial Services and ICT sectors, are providing quality employment opportunities. Initiatives such as Clarendons help bring these opportunities to the attention of talented and experienced Northern Ireland expatriates and encourage them to consider coming back to enjoy the many benefits of living in Northern Ireland.
Clarendon is actively recruiting for senior roles at director and senior manager level - in a variety of sectors including, banking and financial services, the legal profession, Life Sciences, IT, manufacturing, and construction.
We are providing an opportunity for people overseas to discreetly let us know where they are and what sort of executive job they might be interested in hearing about, says Barry.
They can confidentially log on to www.ComeBackToYourFuture.com or www.clarendonexecutive.com. So no matter where the executives are based, from Paris to Berlin, Clarendon Executive can inform them of that one opportunity that might be the catalyst for them moving home.
Clarendon recognises that its not just ex-pats who can benefit from their campaign.
We are proud to be leading this call to action for the Northern Ireland economy. We have already had plenty of interest from people whose partners are from Northern Ireland and who are joining them for a new life on these shores. They are often pleasantly surprised by the variety and calibre of jobs on offer, says Barry.
The campaign is set to run from Thursday 20 to Friday 28 December at Belfast International and George Best City Airports.
